THOMAS -- U.S. Congress
on the Internet
-
Acting under the directive of the leadership of the 104th Congress to make
Federal legislative information freely available to the Internet public,
a Library of Congress team brought the THOMAS World Wide Web system online
in January 1995. The first database made available was Bill Text, followed
shortly by Congressional Record Text, Bill Summary & Status, Hot Bills
(covered under the headings "Congress Now" and "Major Legislation"), the
Congressional Record Index, and the Constitution (now found, along with
other historical Congressional documents, under the "Historical Documents"
category on the THOMAS home page). Enhancements in the types of legislative
data available, as well as in search and display capabilities, have been
continuously added. This is a Hearte Cool Site.

Antitrust
Policy
-
A fairly slow loading, but worthwhile site. The project links four types
of information: antitrust case documents (complaints, opinions, andexpert
testimony); enforcement guidelines and speeches; economic bibliographies;and
current antitrust issues in the news. By linking the information togetherin
a cohesive way, it is possible to expose lawyers to relevant economicresearch;
expose economists to the legal issues that arise in antitrustcases; teach
students about antitrust; and ultimately, to inform public policy.
