I have appointed standing committees and special committes which are challenged with the projects of the association. A listing of these committee members is located for your convienence on our officer and committee page which you can reach by clicking on the officers link on the left frame page. Each of these committees works on a volunteer basis to accomplish the goals of the association which are as follows:

  1. To work toward the development of legislation to improve judicial services and the administration of justice.
  2. To work to provide a continuous review of county court procedures and uniformity throughout the State where feasible and desirable.
  3. To work to provide increased public confidence in and support for judges and staff through programs which will inform the public about the operation of the court system and the effectiveness of its performance
  4. To work to provide uniform procedures and appropriate treatment of juveniles throughout the State and to promote innovative programs and judicial education to achieve these ends.
  5. To work to improve judges' salaries and retirement benefits to the end that qualified members of the bar will be encouraged to seek judicial office.
  6. To plan and implement judicial education programs which will assist the State's judges in the effective performance of their duties.

The Nebraska County Judges' Association expects the upcoming year to be an exciting and challenging one for the county courts of the state. The Association and the Administrative Office of Courts are planning conferences to train county court judges in their many duties ranging from probate, juvenile, criminal, civil, domestic relations and small claims court.

The County Judges' Association remains firmly committed to the concept of continuing judicial education and has been nationally recognized for its judicial education program.
